It is with great pleasure and excitement that we announce
the opening of the first Habitat Display Homes.
Brisbanes premier builders have joined together to
provide a giant display of contemporary living ideas. Come and see these
magnificent homes that have all embraced the design vision for the Habitat
estate.
FINAL STAGE NOW SELLING – FEBRUARY 2007
With the first 5 stages quickly selling out we have
had to bring forward the release of Stage 6 - the final stage of this
magnificent estate.
Stage 6 consists of a great selection of large, well
proportioned lots, predominantly with north/south orientations and parkland
outlooks. Please note, however, that there are only 26 lots available
in this stage, so to avoid missing out contact our sales manager on 3823
2353.
Stages 4 & 5 Construction Brought Forward -August
2006
Due to the huge demand for land in the first 3 stages
of the Habitat estate, we have had to fast track the construction of the
next 2 stages.
Construction of stages 4 and 5 is now due for completion
by the middle of August 2006. These stages should then be released to
the market some time in late August.
Consisting of quiet culs-de-sac backing onto our beautiful
linear park, plus a wide range of allotment sizes, these stages are sure
to be a big hit with the astute purchaser. Please contact our sales office
if you would like to register your interest in the upcoming release.
Habitat Display Homes Under Construction -July 2006
Habitat Wakerley will feature a number of quality display
homes from builders active in the bayside area. The first of these homes,
constructed by BMW Homes, is already complete and open for inspection.
Another six fantastic homes are also well under-way,
consisting of three double storey and three single storey homes. A further
three more homes will commence construction shortly, giving us a total
of at least 10 display homes.
Display builders include BMW Homes, Monterey Homes,
Metricon, GW Homes, Evermore Homes and Auzland. All the display builders
have embraced the Habitat design theme of “Contemporary Queensland
Bayside”. The majority of the display homes are new designs being
built for the first time. Many of the homes have also been specifically
designed for the Habitat estate.
When completed there will be an array of unique single
and double storey homes to inspect, all suited to the large allotments
at Habitat Wakerley.
Habitat Selected as Finalist in Awards - July 2006
Habitat
Wakerley in only it’s first year on the market has been recognised
by leading industry body the Urban Development Institute of Australia
(UDIA) for the high quality of planning and construction that has been
undertaken by the developer. With the first homes at Habitat under construction
and approaching completion, the estate has been awarded as a finalist
by the UDIA in the Small Residential Subdivision category.
The award is recognition of the attention to detail
given by the developer in all areas of the estate from the landscaped
parks and walking trails to the entry statement and fencing treatments.
Comiskey Corporation has set the standard for the bayside area, offering
large home-sites in a highly sought after location and delivering the
environment within the estate to match.
As one resident puts it - “We are thrilled for
the chance to enjoy fantastic parklands at our front door, with the beautiful
bay only minutes away.” As an endorsement of the recognition given
by the UDIA, when asked why they purchased at Habitat they stated the
main reasons were “…generous blocks, high quality landscaping
offering the ability to build the home they wanted while respecting the
design guidelines for the estate”.
Habitat First Stages Complete - January 2006
Construction of the first 3 stages of the Habitat estate
is now complete. These first three stages include our Park Drive, Melaleuca
and Red Gum Releases. Titles for the newly created lots are expected to
be registered in February.
We are very excited about the quality of the completed
estate, particularly the extensive landscaping features. The finished
product has exceeded our expectations and we look forward to families
moving in an enjoying their new community.
Construction of Stages 4 and 5 of the estate will commence
some time in the first half of 2006. Development Approval for Stage 6
has also been obtained, with construction likely to commence late 06 or
early 07.
Park & Playground Open for Fun - January 2006
The Habitat Park, complete with it’s playground,
BBQ facilities, walking tracks and open space, is now complete and ready
to be enjoyed.
Comiskey Corp has put a lot of time and effort into
building a park that will be the centerpiece of the Habitat community.
Being a company made up of young families, we know what both kids and
parents want in a park. The play equipment and unique landscaping is designed
to challenge and entertain children of all ages.
We believe the Habitat Park will become a destination
for families wanting to get out of the house and enjoy the outdoors. With
its sheltered picnic area and BBQ facilities, the park is the perfect
place for birthday parties or family gatherings.
For residents of Habitat, the park will be like your
own extended back yard. And as future development of the area occurs the
park will only become better, because it is designated to ultimately increase
in size to more than 10 acres – that’s more than 3 times the
current size.
Habitat Construction Update - October 2005.
Construction of the first 3 stages of the Habitat estate
is rapidly nearing completion. These first three stages include our Park
Drive, Melaleuca and Red Gum Releases.
Civil works, including roads, drainage, sewer and water,
is essentially finished. All the lots created are flat, elevated above
the roads and are of generous proportions. The way we have constructed
the lots will ensure that there is minimal site work required when building
your new home, thus saving you money for more important things.
Landscaping is now well under way and it is very exciting
to see our vision of a unique parkland estate coming to fruition. The
next month or so will see the completion of our parkland, open spaces,
playground, street art and walking tracks. The quality and extent of our
landscaping will be a benchmark for residential communities in the bayside
area.
Despite a couple of periods of very heavy rain the project
is due for completion in line with our original program, with titles expected
first thing in the new year.

community that offers a great locality, large, flat lots, plenty of parkland

and those people who had registered on the database were invited to buy
the first release of land at Habitat. Of the 12 lots released, 6 lots
were sold over the week-end. As a result, the developed has agreed to
sell Melaleuca Release which has the biggest lots in the estate. There

office which is open Saturday - Thursday from 10am - 5pm
Sales office opening - April, 2005.
The week-end of 23 and 24 April is the official opening
of the sales office for Habitat Wakerley. Prospective purchasers will
be able to pick up a stage plan and pricing, as well as a copy of a cutting
edge DVD. The DVD shows the estate as it should present when it is finalised
and gives the purchaser a real idea of the extent of parklands in the

to the huge telephone enquiry that was being generated. In three weeks,
over 150 enquires were received. Purchasers who register will be invited
to a Private Launch on the 21st of May where they will be given the opportunity
to buy a lot prior to the pubic launch of the estate.
Habitat Construction Under Way - 4 January 2005

at Wakerley we have now commenced demolition of the existing buildings
on the site. Demolition will be completed by the end of February 2005,
and civil construction is due to commence in March 2005.
We are also busily converting one of the existing site
houses into a sales office, immediately adjacent to the Green Camp Road
/ Rickertt Road intersection. The sales office will be open for business
in March 2005, at which time you will be able to obtain our full range
of marketing material, including a cutting edge DVD presentation that

Wakerley Gets Development Approval and a Name - 16
September 2004
After months of negotiation with Brisbane City Council
we have now received development approval for our new estate located in
Green Camp Road, Wakerley. We have gained approval for up to 103 lots

of the existing site trees in extra wide road reserves, an outcome that
will enhance the unique presentation of the estate.
We are also excited to announce that the estate will
be known as HABITAT. This is a name that encompasses all of the best aspects
of the estate, namely :-
- Bayside location
- Extensive park network
- Larger lots
- Design guidelines
- Location and proximity to facilities
- Natural surroundings
